The Liebster Awards #2

I had so many posts planned for this past two weeks but I have had so little spare time, but be assured I will be posting more actively now.

Amanda kindly tagged me in the Liebster Awards, which I have already done here, but because of the nature of the tag it is different every time as the blogger asks 10 questions, so here I am going to be answering Amanda's 10 questions, which are so creative, I love them!  I could not not answer them!!

1. What do you consider the most happiest moment of your life?

I'm not 100% sure to what my most happiest moment so far is, I have had loads of amazing experiences that caused happiness but I couldn't pin point a particular moment that sticks out from everything just yet.
However, one that comes close to is when I went to Japan.  I was so happy and excited about the whole experience because it was something I have been wanting to so since I was a little kid, I had never gone on a long-haul flight or gone outside of Europe before.

2. Tell us about your current obsession

Oh gosh!  Which one?  I think my current music obsession is still The 1975.  I have been listening to this band for years now and their most recent album which is titled I Like it When You Sleep, For You Are so Beautiful Yet so Unaware of it, is absolutely amazing.  It has been out now for just over a month and it is still being played on repeat.  I got to see the band live a couple of weeks ago and I wrote a blog post on it here.  If you haven't listened to a song of theirs you are seriously missing out.

If someone shazamed you what would you be?
I love this question!  Tbh I will probably change all the time but right now I am thinking probably The Sound by The 1975 or Stressed Out by Twenty One Pilots oh and maybe The Middle by Jimmy Eat World.  Haha I told you I wouldn't be able to be just one song!  If I had to choose out of those three though, it would probably be The Sound by The 1975.

What is your Hogwarts House?
Right, I did the test/quiz thing ages ago now but back then apparently I was just about Gryffindor, but literally by one mark as it was closely followed by Slytherin!  I don't know how that happened but I might try it again some time soon and see if it is still the same!

What's one fictional character I could see myself in?
Usually I just see myself being friends or being alongside the characters especially in movies or TV shows.  When I was younger and obsessed with a TV show I would try a match up the fictional characters with myself and my friends.  But to actually answer the question I would love to be a drama and/or adventure fictional character though something like Katniss Everdeen, Hermione Granger or maybe a girl out of PLL where nothing is boring!

What's the one thing that always makes you feel better?

Music.  Music.  Music.  If I ever feel down or sad etc I just plug my earphones in and play my music to shut out the world.

If you could share a taxi with anyone, alive or dead, who would it be?
That's such a good question, different to the usual!  Just one person?  That's going to be hard to narrow down!  I think I would choose a dead person because you don't often get a chance to share a taxi with someone who is dead now do you!?  I'd probably choose John Lennon. I have loved The Beatles pretty much all my life, especially when I did a medley performance to them when I was 11 or 12 in my theatre group.  I would love to ask about the stuff he got up to that the public doesn't know about.

Tell us about a petty fear of your
Snakes. I don't particularly know when this came about but all of a sudden my fear of snakes started and it grows and grows all the time.  I hate them so much that my fear of spiders has actually shrunk!

If you could tell your younger self one thing, what would it be?
I would give her the advice of not caring what the hell others think about you!  When I got to Secondary School, I started to become really shy in class and not the loud bubbly person I used to be, which I was in primary.  I think I would have enjoyed school so much more if  I didn't care how I came across to people and just be myself.

What's one item of clothing that always makes you feel confident?

If you class shoes as clothing I would choose either my chunky black heeled boots or my black laced heels mainly because they make my legs look a lot longer haha!

I am more than aware that this post is insanely long so I am sorry if I bored you, I doubt you even got down this far!  Anyway I just want to say a massive thank you to Amanda because I love your blog posts, especially the travel ones!

Anyway, I would like to tag Nicole , Harel and anyone else who fancies it!  I love these girls blogs definitely a couple of my favourites so here are my 10 questions

1. If you could relive any part of your life, which part would it be?
2.  If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
3. What is your number one most favourite album?
4.  What's your favourite memory of your school life?
5.  What's your favourite past time?
6.  What's the difference between your younger self and the person you are today, or is there none?
7.  Who's your celebrity crush?
8. What was the last song you listened to (and don't lie!)?
9.  Why did you start your blog?
10. Tell me about your favourite place/country?

Again, sorry for this post being so rambley and long but the next post will be more picture based!

The Vamps Concert 2016

Friday night I went to see The Vamps live at their first show of their tour!  It was my third time seeing them live and they never fail to impress me.  I have always said since I got to see them live, that they are better live than on their albums, I don't really know why that is.

Anyway, the part I was particularly looking forward to was Tristan's drumming solo because it is always bloody fantastic.

Overall the concert was, of course, amazing!  They played songs from their recent album and their first album as well as a medley of different songs like Stressed Out, Perfect etc.

If you ever get the chance to see them live, I would definitely say it is worth it, otherwise I wouldn't have gone so many times!

I hope everyone has had a brilliant week and are enjoying their long weekend!

The 1975 Concert

Last night I got to see The 1975 live!  I have been listening to this band for years and I finally got the chance to go to one of their concerts with one of my mates.  The Barclaycard Arena (I still call it the NIA), was their first arena they've played at - I think they meant as in their own concert because I think they've played at arenas during festivals etc.

Because we got standing tickets, we got there a couple of hours early and had to wait about 4 hours until the first act, The Japanese House, came on but it was so worth it because we were insanely close, we were about 5th row back.  When the support act came on everyone was already pushing and shoving so I thought it was just going to get worse for The 1975, but I was wrong.

By the time The 1975 came on everyone had been pushed about 3 times so you weren't in your original place but we were still so close.

I didn't take many photos for several reasons, one was because how squashed it was you couldn't do much but dance and secondly because it was easier to take videos.

My favourite song of their new album is probably The Sound (atm anyway!) and everyone one went crazy for it, it was amazing!  Their last song was, of course, Sex and it ended on such a high.

Overall I absolutely loved it and couldn't stress how much I would recommend seeing The 1975 live, especially standing; I've been to a lot of concerts and I think this one has to be my favourite.

~

I hope everyone is enjoying their week so far, I have an extremely busy one a head of me but I'm seeing The Vamps on Friday and Saturday so that should keep me going!

Little Mix 2016

So Friday night was the first on four concerts I have planned over the forthcoming week, and it is safe to say it started the week of concerts off with a bang!

I have seen Little Mix before on their Saltue Tour in 2014 and we were right at the back of the arena facing the stage and we loved it!  We couldn't see their faces but we were blown away by their performance and singing.

However, thanks to my Mum for getting me and my friends the tickets, we were so close to the stage!  We were in block two so we were the first block by the stage and it was an insane view!

They sang classic Little Mix songs such as Wings and DNA as well as their new stuff like Black Magic.

You can tell how much passion and effort they put into their music and dancing in their performance they gave, it was just amazing.

I have so much love for these girls and I am so proud to see them selling out arenas for their world tour.  If you have the chance to see them live, I would take that offer up for sure!

My next concert is on Tuesday and I am getting to see THE 1975!!! Yes that's right people, I am seeing The 975 live and I am standing!

Hope you all have had a brilliant week, mine has had so many ups and downs it's crazy.

Education

So as of today, 10th March 2016 at 9pm, I have 101 days left until I am free for the summer, and well for a year, and just 77 days left of educations.

In 101 days I will be celebrating the end of my A Level exams, my last being my philosophy implications paper, the one I am dreading the most!

In 77 days I will be celebrating the end of my education, of course I still have just under a month of revision and examinations but I will not be in school/college/sixth form any more.  I will have no more lessons!

To me, saying and writing that makes me so excited it is unbelievable.  I just want to get out of education for a bit, take a year off (btw I am having a gap year to sort my life out), and be free to do what I want to do with my life.  But, of course, there is a part of me, only a small part though, which is kind of nervous, I mean I am about to experience the world in a way I have never before.

~

My experience of education has definitely been varied, I have had so so so many brilliant memories during my school years, made some friends that I will keep forever and have actually made myself proud.

However, education has had downs too, I never really hated school until I was about 13, I am not going to go into a sob story don't you worry, but I would say primary years were by far the greatest years of my school life.  I even remember my Mum telling me that, when I was about 6, that 'these are the best years of you're life' but I didn't believe her until they passed.

Other than the stress, 24/7 tiredness and the amount of work people expect from you; I have enjoyed it I suppose.  Sixth form, in terms of the learning and education was and is horrible and tough, but I was expecting it, and I have still made brilliant memories.

But can we just take it back to my year 10 maths classes.  This was most definitely my absolute favourite part of my education.  Izzy will know this because she was apart of it but the little work our class actually did is shocking.  Our teacher and our class just did not get along so we went out of our way for the whole year to be difficult, to our maths teachers and supply teachers.  I mean she hated us anyway so she would make our lives living hell once we were in that class, but the memories and storied I have are just brilliant.

One time we had a supply teacher,  I am going to call him Einstein because he looked like him, but Einstein told us the page numbers of the maths textbook we had to complete during class.  However, our class, being the most difficult, we decided to tell him we had already completed the whole of the 500 page maths textbook by spring term, which we had nowhere near finished. With a little bit more convincing, he somehow believed us, so he decided to teach us how to make a pop-up card!  Yes, that's right, a pop-up card!

Overall education has created some brilliant memories, and I will go away from it with them but I so ready to leave.  Education is becoming so demotivating and tiring but I will leave the bad behind and bring along the funny stories.

February Favourites

So, February is always a busy month fulled with birthdays and weekends away but this month has been even busier than normal; mainly because of mocks which just finished for me on Friday.  Anyway, as it was a busy month I have got quite a lot of this to share which I loved so lets get cracking....

~ Music ~

monthly favourite spotify music playlist - listen here

Coldplay

Since watching the carpool with Chris Martin I have found myself listening to loads of different Coldplay songs; old and new.  My favourite is one of their old ones, which I must say I had forgotten, is Yellow.

All Time Low

It's the majority of cases that ATL make it to my monthly music favourites, for  a different reason each time and even if they aren't I will probably have listened to them that month!  Anyway this month I have been listening to one of my all time favourite (ahah) albums of theirs, Nothing Personal.  Not only that but earlier this month I got to see them live in concert which I have been wanting to for ages now.

Good Charlotte

Over the past couple of the months I had found myself listening to Good Charlotte a lot, not for any particular reason.  But this month, I got to see them live as well and they were so good.  They got the crowd going and I must say I prefer them live to on their albums!

The 1975

Their new album is amazing, I have been waiting this for a while now and at the start of this month I couldn't wait until the 26th. My favourite song of theirs that they released before the album is probably The Sound.  I haven't got any favourites from the album yet since I only bought it yesterday but they will develop of the next couple of days.

~ Beauty ~

Mac // Lipsticks

Before my 18th I didn't really own any high end make-up but I have been craving for some for so long.  My Nan bought me loads including a nude Mac Lipstick in Honey love.  It is a great alternative to the Velvet Teddy my friends got me.  I also got Mac Red lip stick from my friends which is a true red colour which lasts so long!

NYX // Soft Matte Lip Cream

I have been looking at these for ages now and I didn't particularly know which shade to get so I put loads of shades on my birthday list so if someone wanted to buy them for they could and it would still be a surprise.  Anyway, my Nan got me one in the shade Prague which is a beautiful deep pinky plum shade.  I have to say, they are the most pigmented and long lasting liquid matte lipsticks, I will be going to NYX and buying some more!

Nars // Sheer Glow

The first day I wore this I got compliments on it and ever since I started watching Tanya's YouTube videos I have been wanting to try it out.  When my Nan got it me for my 18th I was estatic.  I love the coverage as it is build-able but without building it up is is a nice medium coverage.

Urban Decay

I have been given two of the Naked Palettes for my birthday!  I got the Naked (original) Palette from my Nan and the Naked Smokey Palette from my friends, and I am so grateful for them.  I absolutely love the colours, they last all day/night long and are super pigmented.

Bobbi Brown // Gel Eyeliner

My friends also got me this gel eyeliner for my birthday as well!  I haven't used it all that much yet since I haven't had the chances since I have been stuck in revising and doing mock examinations but the times I have used it, I loved it!  It is super black and, lets just say, if I can use it and create a decent flick/line I think anyone can!

~ Fashion ~

River Island // Black Chunky Heeled Boots

I justified this purchase because I got an email from RI giving me £5 off since it was my birthday and I have been eyeing up these boots for a while.  I love them, they give me height and the illusion of longer legs yet are super comfy and I can spend all day in them due to them being platformed.

New Look // Laced Heeled Boots

I love the trend of these style of heeled boots at the moment so I decided to get a pair that wasn't too expensive but are still comfy and stylish.  These could be worn with anything to dress it up; a playsuit, jeans, a skirt or dress.

~ Movies ~

Disney Princess Movies

Thanks to my cousins, Aunt and Uncle for this favourite, also my friend Holly who told me about it.  Once I was aware of this existence of the box set I knew I had to ask for it for my birthday.  I was and am so happy that I got it, it has all the Disney Princess DVDs.

Romeo and Juliet
I watched Romeo and Juliet on Friday evening mainly because I was seeing the ballet of it the next day and I just wanted to refresh my mind; of course I knew the story, seen it as a play and watched the movie about three times before but ya know just to go over the more finer details.  Also who doesn't love a bit of 21 year old Leonardo Dicaprio?  But ever since I saw it as a ballet (which I definitely recommend if you like the ballet) and re-watched the movie I have been craving to watch it again so it has to go in my favs! The acting is amazing and I loved how they made it more of a modern twist of it.

~ TV Shows ~

Making A Murder
I whizzed through this programme documentary because it is so gripping as you just want to know what happened.  It is a real life story about a man who got sentenced to prison for something he did not do.  I do not want to spoil anything else just in case you guys haven't watched it yet.  It is a Netflix original and I fully recommend it.

Skins
I never really thought I would actually like this programme because I tried watching it so many times but I just couldn't get passed the first 10-15 minutes of it, which is completely unlike me!  However after the first couple of episodes I was gripped and watched the first two seasons far too quickly!  The next two seasons I also watched quickly but whenever new characters are put into the show it takes me a while to get back into it.  I am now on season 5 now and if it wasn't for mocks happening the past week I probably would have finished the whole show!

~

So I hope you have all had a great month; I have had some of my best moments in this month but also some that come close to my worst.  I cannot believe February is already done and March is on its way!

I hope you enjoyed this post and I will be posting a lot more actively throughout March.
