September Favourites

It's the end of the month, so it means it's time to tell you what I have been enjoying, I think there is a little less than last month due to starting Sixth Form but I have a few good items that I recommend. So here we go;

MUSIC FAVOURITES

#1 FIREPROOF

This song is perfect.   When One Direction released this (not as an offical single) for free I had it on replay for days.  If you haven't listened to it you can listen to it on YouTube here.

#2 DAYLIGHT

On the Amnesia EP by 5 Seconds of Summer, one of the extra songs was Daylight and I instantly fell in love with this song. Listen to this song here. The EP also has the cover of American Idiot by Green Day on it, which I think is amazing.

#3 CENTURIES

Fall Out Boy's new song Centuries, their first single for their 6th album was released & I absolutley love it.  I always love a bit of Fall Out Boy but I have had this song on repeat for a long time now. Listen to Centuries here.

#4 A LITTLE BIT OF YOUR HEART

I've never been a massive fan of Ariana Grande but after I found this song I started listening to her albums and now it is safe to say that I will be buying them.  I have liked a few of her songs in the past but I never actually listened to a full album of hers before.  A Little Bit Of Your Heart is probably one of my favourites, and I had it on replay as well.  Listen to this song here.

#5 LOVE RUNS OUT

I love One Republic and recently I have found myself playing this song so many times, and it is one of my favourite songs of there's.  I just love the lyrics and the beat of the song.  Listen to it here.

You can tell how my music taste ranges from these five songs!

BEAUTY FAVOURITES

#1 CREAM EYE SHADOW

Recently Superdrug, my local one anyway, have added a new(ish) brand in the make-up section of the shop, which is called B. Superdrug, in the summer holidays, had a half price sale on some of the make-up brands and just so happened to be on B. so I picked up a shimmery pinky nude cream eye shadow called Dusk Till Dawn. I never tried a cream eye shadow before so I decided to grab one when it was half price (at only £3.49!).  I have had so many complements at sixth form from it, which is always good & it stays on all day long.  I can actually tell you that I prefer cream eye shadows to normal ones.

#2 RIMMEL LASTING FINISHING LIPSTICK  || 084 AMETHYST SHIMMER

I absolutely love dark lip colours, especially for autumn and winter time, so I got myself a beautiful winey-coloured lipstick.  It goes on perfectly and lasts quite a long time.  I would say it will suit a lot of skin tones, but I am not a make-up guru/artist so I wouldn't take my advice dead seriously, but I definatley think it would suit lighter/paler skin colours best.

It comes out darker than the camera has picked up

CLOTHING FAVOURITES

#1 H&M JOGGERS

I mentioned this in one of my previous blog posts, and these joggers are so comfortable.  They are a bit on the larger size but I prefer baggy joggers.  They are perfect for just lazing around the house and wanting to be comfortable and I love the colour of them.

#2 H&M TREGGINGS

I picked these up as they had a side zip, which I thought was quite different.  The reason why I would call them treggings is because they are really thick and much better quality then normal leggings.  At the top of the treggings there's little parts which is elastic making it more comfortable. At £15.99 (could have even been £12.99) I think these are such a bargin as I have been wearing these a lot!

#3 PRIMARK MONOCHROME FLORAL BLOUSE

Recently I have been on many shopping trips with friends and my mum and I have always popped into Primark to check out what they are doing this month, and one time I found a cute blouse which I thought would be great for my sixth form.  I picked it up really quickly on the way to the check out till and yet I have had so many complements on the blouse! It was only about £10-£12 as well which is a bargin.  It's also good quality for Primark and I will get a lot of wear out of it.  I wear this with a skater skirt for sixth form, sometimes I would wear it with an elasticated tube/pencil skirt, and many people have told me they love my outfit/top!

Thank you for reading my favourites, there wasn't many others than beauty, music and clothing but next month I think there will be! Comment below your some of your favourites and if you are enjoying the same as what I am or any recommendations that I should try next month.

The Liebster Awards

I was tagged by the beautiful Izzy K for the Liebster Awards.  For those of you who don't know what the Leibster Award is, basically it is given to up and coming bloggers that have less than 200 followers as it is a great way to find new blogs. So lets get started,

11 random facts about me

1. I nearly burnt my house down in the summer holidays, making soup, in the middle of a Harry Potter movie marathon and my parents still have no idea because I haven't told them. (here is my post about it)
2. Because I am a massive fan of One Direction most people just assume I only listen to them or pop music but I love pop punk, pop rock and rock music.
3. I can not wait to have my own apartment/flat.
4. I like to collect cinema tickets...
5. I interviewed Dani Harmer (the actress who played Tracy Beaker) when I was 12 as I won a competition.
Dani Harmer as Tracy Beaker

Dani Harmer (2010ish)

6. I have been doing Ballet since the age of about 4, so for 12 years now!
7. I am a shy and awkward person when you first meet me.
8. I never really tried eye liner until a month or so ago and now I am obsessed with it.
9. Clothes wise, I love anything black, checkered or has some sort of funny quote/writing on it
10. I broke my arm in France when I was 6, but my Mum was convinced it was just a sprain and waited about 2 days till she took me to the hospital.
11. Caring on from the previous fact, when I broke my arm and was back home, I was showing my Granddad a magic trick.  It was one of those "now you see it, now you don't" tricks.  Basically I shoved a 1p coin down my cast and it wouldn't come out so when I went back to the hospital to get my last x-ray you could see a 1p coin in it...

Izzy's Questions

1. What made you start blogging?

Well it was coming to the new year and the end of my Christmas holidays and I have wanted to either start uploading videos onto youtube or post bog posts, so I decided to go with the blog and I am glad of it.

2. Do you have any guilty pleasures?

Yes, I do, and a lot of them so I will only share a few.  I have loved musicals all my life and is one of my guilty pleasures, watching them on the TV or on stage.  My all time favourite is Chitty Chitty Band Bang. I will share one more and this one is a weird one, I love Dan Howell's and Phil Lester's Tweets (here's the link to Dan's twitter and Phil's twitter) because they just tweet random and funny things that has happened to them.

3. How many people/who knows about your blog?

As far I know two of my friends.  I haven't actually told anyone because I don't think my blog is interesting enough to promote it to my friends and family.  But I did find my Dad's cycling blog which he has had for what looks like 5 years and I had no idea about!

4. First concert?

My first concert was JLS when I used to be massive fans of theirs in 2012, I was 14.  However when I was about 4 years old my parents took me to see Tweenies Live, I'm not 100% sure if it counts as my first concert though.

5. Current Celebrity crush?

Do you want the long or short answer?  Basically I have a ton of celebrity crushes so I am just going to list them here;

  • Niall Horan
  • Liam Payne
  • Harry Styles
  • Zayn Malik
  • Louis Tomlinson
  • Michael Clifford
  • Luke Hemmings
  • Ashton Irwin
  • Calum Hood
  • Ian Somerhalder
  • Josh Hutcherson
  •  Steven R. McQueen
  • Paul Weasley
  • Zac Efron
I know there is a lot but who can blame me, honestly.  But my first ever celebrity crush was the Blue Peter Presenter when I was about 6 called Gethin Jones.

Gethin Jones, my first ever celebrity crush

6. Are you obessed with any TV shows?

YES! OMG I absolutley love Pretty Little Liars, my friends have learnt to zone out when I start talking about it, and The Vampire Diaries.  I also love Miranda, Waterloo Road and I'm A Celeberity Get Me Out Of Here when they are on TV.

7. What is you favourite quote?

There are so many quotes which I love but one of my top ones was by Michael Clifford from 5 Seconds Of Summer; "Real bands save fans, real fans save bands" (here's the tweet)

8. What's the meaning behind your blog name?

This one is actually pretty interesting....to cut a long story short it is my name! Inventive! But I did want to change it in the Summer holidays to something like dreamingunicorns but I couldn't figure out how to.

9. Make up essentials you couldn't live without?

My Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, a good mascara probably Rimmel Scandal'Eyes and a lip balm.  I absolutely love lip products, like lip sticks and lip glosses, but I probably could live without them but I do need a good lip balm.

10. What's the first blog you ever started reading?

I think it was Tanya Burr's Blog because she was the first YouTuber I ever watched as well and once I was obsessed with her videos I started to read her blog as well.

My Top 5 || Books Want To Read

I've had a busy first week at Sixth Form and I've  just came back from a "bonding" weekend away so this is just going to be a short post.

I am going to be starting a series of posts that I call "My Top 5"  and I will write about the top 5 things I love to do with the category I have chosen for that particular post.  For example My Top 5 Nail Polishes, My Top 5 TV Shows, My Top 5 Things I Want To Achieve This Year etc.

The first post of the series I am going to be doing is My Top 5 Books I Wan To Read.

1. The first book that I really want to read is called Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell because I read her book called Fangirl on my holiday in July and I absolutely loved it that I would love to read all of her books, especially Eleanor & Park as many people have praised and loved it.

2.  The second book I really want to read is called Looking For Alaska by John Green. Ever since I started to read John Green books I have always wanted to read this book because so many people have recommended it to me and said how good it is.

3. Eye For An Eye by Marlorie Blackman is another book I really want to read because after reading Noughts and Crosses two years ago now I've been meaning to read the rest of the series as I found the book very interesting.

4. Divergent.  I probably should have read the book before watching the movie in the cinema but I didn't have the time due to exams and revision.  My cousin, who isn't a massive reader, read this book in about a week and absolutely loved it so he gave it to me to read.  I have yet to start it but it is next on my books to read list as I loved the film.

5. Girl Online.  This book is not out yet, it comes out on the 25th November this year.  It is written by one of my favourite YouTubers, Zoe Sugg (aka Zoella).  When she was explaining the book I knew I had to get it so I can not wait to read it as I think I will be able to relate to it. I think it will also be interesting to see how Zoe writes.

Sixth Form, Friends and New Beginings

So today, I had my first day of Sixth Form, which is year 12.  This is the year where you start your 4 A Level subjects you have chosen and have more freedom but more responsibilities than normal school.  I was lucky and at my Secondary School, we have a Sixth Form which we could choose to go to if we got the grades to get in.  As I got the grades I wanted to stay at the place where I knew.

Since, we were in the first year of Sixth Form we had to get into school at the normal school time of 8:40, where year 8-11 and 13 came in at 10:15 am (year 7 also came in at the same time as us).

So the first thing myself and my friends did when we got to Sixth Form was meet outside the Sports Hall to talk to new people and catch up with people we already knew.  Then we got told to go into the Sports Hall to find out what form we are all in.  I am in 12A, with 4 other people from my old form and some of my friends, which is good.

We aren't getting our timetables until next week because it takes a long time for them to sort out.  However, our form tutors told us what are subjects are going to be for the next couple of days but we couldn't find out the exact teacher or class we were in, which was very confusing.

Anyway, we didn't have any subjects until after lunch so I only had Geography and Philosophy & Ethics, so we had 3 hours of sorting out school stuff and just catching up with everyone in form.

So over all today went better than I excepted.  I hope all of you had a good first day back as well, whenever it was, and if you are luckily and haven't gone back to school yet, when you do I hope it goes well.

FIRST DAY OUTFIT

Because we are in Sixth Form we don't have an uniform any more, but because the Sixth Form I go to is attached to a school we have to wear smart clothing, so this is what I decided to go for:

Black Blazer - Dorothy Perkins £35
Black Pencil Tube Skirt - New Look £17.99
Mint Green Top/Blouse - New Look £12.99(ish)
Gold Chunky Chain Necklace(you cant see but in my last post you can) - Primark £3
Black Bag - Primark £12
Black Shoes - Topshop £32

Town, Shopping and Last Day of the Summer Holidays

I have done a couple of blog posts like this before, like a "Come Along With Me" and I love writing them & it's a little more of an insight of my life. So I am going to be tell you what I did today, my last day of summer.

Today,  I went into town with one of my friends to do a bit of last minute schools supply shopping, since we have our first Sixth Form day tomorrow (which there will be a post about).  We decided to go early because we didn't want to be too tried for tomorrow also, we needed to get used getting up early again.

When we got into town we headed straight for Primark because who can't love a good bargin?  Also our Primark always gets rammed after 11am so we popped in before it was busy.  This is what I bought from Primark:

Pale Blue Blouse Shirt for my Sixth Form - £9

Every time I go to Primark I have to buy a packet of hair elastics - £1

Two gold necklaces, also for Sixth Form - £3 each

We went into H&M, Superdrug, New Look and many more.  So obviously I picked up a few more items...

Models Own 5 in 1 base & top coast (Superdrug) - £5

Plain grey top with a pocket (H&M) - £7.99

Dark/Navy Blue joggers (H&M) - £9.99

After hours of shopping we decided to go to Ed's Diner/Shake (not 100% sure what it is called) for lunch.  It is this American style diner which do the BEST milkshakes ever.

Oreo Milkshake, there was tones of it!

We also ordered a burger each and shared some chips and onion rings, it was the most filling meal I have had for a long time but so delicious, so I had the horrible feeling of being stuffed but there was really nice food on my plate still.

After our little lunch break we hit the rest of town that we didn't do before. Again I did pick up some more products...

simple pack of 24 colouring pencils for Sixth Form (WHSmith) - £1.92

Monochrome Aztec Make Up Bag, which I am using as a
pencil case for Sixth Form (Forever 21) - £4.50

My friend was thirsty and wanted some water so we decided to check out Selfridges for some Fiji water which we have heard was expensive but better than normal water, somehow.  The bottles we got (330ml each) were on offer for 2 for £1 so we went for it as it was the price of normal water with the offer.  To be honest, it seemed the same to me as any other water, maybe the consistency of it was slightly thicker.  I didn't have my hopes up high as I couldn't see how one bottle of water could be different from another bottle. (unless it's sparkling or flavoured obviously).

Anyway, all in all it was a great last day of my 2014 summer holidays and I am dreading to go back to school/start Sixth Form.  I hope if any of you are going back or starting a new school have a wonderful first day and I if you already have, I hope it went great.
