Life Update || New Blog?

So if you know me then you would know that I love healthy foods, trying to stay fit and baking/cooking.  So for the longest of times now I have been thinking of either having a separate blog on food, fitness and recipes or different sections of my blog on them.

At the moment, I am thinking of creating a new blog where I post all of those types of posts but have it linked within my main blog.  The reason I have decided to do a fitness, health and recipe blog is because that is what I am interested in.  I love knowing what I am eating, I love baking and cooking and recently I have came to love sports and fitness more.

Therefore I naturally thought of maybe going down the nutritionist route for my career but I chose the wrong A Levels to do so.  So either I take a gap year and do a science access course or go back down the media or psychology route and do this as a 'hobby' or interest.  That is why I am starting this blog up.  I know it won't be everyone's cup of tea but I have so many recipes I want to share and I suppose that is the creative side to me; I love experimenting with food and making my own recipes.

However, I don't think I will start it up until mid August due to not having enough time to blog for the rest of July and the start of August.  But I will definitely get everything sorted to have it started soon.

Let me know what you think in the comments, maybe leave some suggestions of names for the blog because I am still messing around with some ideas.

Hope everyone is enjoying there summer, whether you are still at work or on your holidays:)

A Levels || A Year Done

So I finished my first year of A Levels.  What can I say? It was tough. Very tough. When people say it is a massive step from GCSE I thought I built myself up for it being hard but geez, I was no where near the emotional or physical stage to start in September 2014.

The whole point of these posts on A Levels is not to soften them for year 11's or 10's thinking about doing A Levels and give advice, tips and antics about what I went through.  They are meant to be something that I would have liked to read when I was a couple of years younger.  I am not saying my experience will be everyone's experience, it will differ from person to person, subject to subject and from each sixth form or college.

I can say though, it was probably the fastest year of my education that has ever been.  It feels like last month I was nervous about starting my A Levels at the SAME school as I did my GCSE's {so I don't know why I was so nervous!} but that was nearly one year ago!

The year came with some amazing friends that I made who I will hopefully stay in touch with for the rest of my life.  It taught me to be stronger, emotionally, mentally and physically.  I have gained confidence, not massive's but a little more, and realised what my strengths are.

btw I do have other friends than Izzy but I don't know whether
they would want their face on my blog...
A Levels are hard.  But I have picked up many ideas of what could come next, but it also gave me more control of what I could make of my life next.  Yes, this year has probably been my most stressful and emotionally draining but I have also had a brilliant time with friends and the more freedom we have as year 12's.

In Year 12 people start learning to drive, I started learning in March {wow that's weird to type!} so we all start to get that little bit more independent than when we were in Year 11 at GCSE.  It's completely different to being in secondary education, only having to study four subjects of your choice is another bonus, make sure you choose the subjects you want to do, not what would look 'good' or what your friends are doing etc.

Overall, I think this year was my worst yet favourite educational year of my life.  It was my worst because of the stress, emotional drain, the pressure, the no social life and feeling guilty for doing anything but revision, homework or extra research.  But it was my favourite because of the brilliant memories I made, new friends I found, learning about subjects I actually like and the free periods I got!  So do not be put off A Levels if you are wanting and willing to do them and put the effort in.  It will be worth it.

Hope you all enjoyed this post and gave you a slight insight of my first A Level year.  Any questions comment them below & I'll try my best to answer them!

I hope you all had a good day and your summer holidays {if you have them} are amazing and make sure you relax.

Some of my Favourite Photos I Have Taken #1

So, I'm not photographer, I have had zero lessons in taking a good quality photo nor have I done a GCSE in it or an A Level, though I wish I had.  But I am just a teenage girl who loves, seriously loves, to take photos.  I use a Canon SX600 HS for my best quality photos and then my iPhone 5C for the others.  I am trying to use my Canon a bit more as the majority of my photos are taken on my iPhone.

I thought I would share with you some of my favourite photos I have taken this year so far. {I might put some of 2014 in too}  I thought it would be slightly different to normal and a lot more aesthetically pleasing rather than just words on my blog, as much as I love writing.

I think it would by nice to be able to look back at this post and see my favourite photos of 2015/14 as well in a couple of years time.  So anyway, lets get cracking and search through my thousands of photos I have taken...

The Blog Tour Award

I was kindly nominated by Izzy to do the blog tour award so you should definitely check her blogs out, you will be glad I linked it!

The award rules:

1. Pass the tour to at least four other bloggers
2. Give your nominees the rules and specify the Monday in which they should post their nomination answer
3. Answer the four questions about your creative process, which allows other bloggers and visitors to understand what inspires you to do what you do
4. Compose this one-time post on a specific Monday (date TBC by your nomination)

My Answers

1. How does your work differ from other in your genre?
Well, my blog is about me so there isn't really going to be a blog exactly like mine, but I wouldn't even know what genre I fit into?  Is there a personal genre because I tend to write about things that happened to me, tag and things I love.  To be honest, anything could pop up onto my blog because I don't limit myself to just being beauty or fashion etc.

2. How does your writing/creative process work?
I tend to have loads of ideas for posts come to me all at once so I write it down in a notebook or on my notes on my phone.  I tend put them into drafts, and believe me I have many drafts, some still from last year...But when I have an idea that I love I keep going back to and adding to it and editing, taking photos for the post and reading through the preview to check everything makes sense until I am happy to upload it.

3. Why do you write and create what you do?
I write and create what I do because that is what I love or like writing about.  I wouldn't just write about something for the sake of it.  A lot of my posts to do with what I got up to in a day or weekend are to remind me that I had a great time that day and I can read it and look at the photos in a couple of years time.

4. What are you working on at the moment?
I am working on adding an extra blog to my blog, if that makes sense? No, not a beauty side blog but a food and fitness one because I have a passion for it and I have been wanting to write about nutrition and exercising for so long now and share with you some of my recipes and favourite healthy things to eat.  It probably doesn't appeal to some of you or interest you but I love it and I think I would love to write about it:)

The four nominations

The Monday which the award post should be 13th July but if that's too soon, then you can upload it on the 20th.  I hope you enjoyed this post, thanks again to the beautiful Izzy for nominating me.

Hope everyone's Monday wasn't too bad and you all have a good week.  I'm off to watch some America Horror Story now:)

Review #2 || Wake Me Up Foundation

So I have been wanting to review this foundation for a while now but I have only got the time till now.

First Thoughts
So, I first bought this foundation probably 2 years ago now as one of my first proper liquid foundations.  My first thought was probably "Man this smells good!" as it smelt like watermelon.  Anyway I did think it was really good, easy to apply and brilliant for a first foundation.

Applying It
Like I said above I found it easy to apply.  I now apply it by putting about 1 to 1 and a half pumps on the back of my hand and apply using my my fingers or my real techniques foundation brush and the miracle sponge by them.  It applies smoothly and with not much fuss.

Colour
The colour I go for is Ivory, but I have seemed to have gone one shade lighter since I first bought this foundation but I would say it is fairly orange toned because some days I do find it slightly orange sometimes, but not as much now I have a lighter colour!

Consistency
I love the consistency; it is not too thick but it isn't too thin and runny.  I find the match perfection, as much as I love it, just a bit too runny and I prefer the thicker foundations.

Coverage
As it has quite a thick consistency it is, what I would call, a medium to high coverage.  It allows you to have natural looking skin but stills covers the imperfections.  You can build up the foundation without it looking too cake-y.

Price
This foundation is £8.99 normally but it is on sale a fair bit and is usually down to £6 or £7 which is brilliant for a foundation.

How Long It Lasts?
I find it definitely lasts the school/work day, it probably starts to fade a little after mid afternoon if you use powder to set it in the morning which is good for a drugstore foundation.

Recommendation
Yes, definitely! 100% I would recommend it to all my friends and family, my Mum bought it and loves it because I recommended it to her.  As it has SPF 15 it is good for summer and the heat wave we are having here in England at the moment!

So I hope you enjoyed this review, it was very brief because I didn't want to make it too long winded.  I am thinking of doing more reviews because that is what I started my blog thinking of doing; beauty and reviews but I kinda got a bit side tracked!

Anyway the weekend is nearly here, so have a good one:)
