Hello:)
Recently, I have been loving the knee ripped skinny jeans look, so instead of paying out £40-£50 for a new pair of jeans at the moment, I decided to rip one of my pairs of jeans that I already own, since it is very easy.
What you will need:
Jeans
Fabric scissors (can use ordinary but it ill be easier to use fabric ones if you have some)
Pen
SandPaper
Step 1: Put your jeans on and mark a line on the jeans where you want the rip, I wanted the knee rip so I drew on a line at my knees.
Step 2: Take off the jeans, cut along the line using the scissors
Step 3: To make it look more distressed and worn get the sandpaper and rub on the rip and trim any too long loose ends.
Step 4: Put them back on and check if they look the way you want (I decided to make my rips wider), if not just keep rubbing the sandpaper on the jeans to make it more distressed or if you want more than one rip on each leg you can:)
And that is all you need to do, it is that simple. I hope you enjoyed this type of post:)

July Favourites
Since it's the start of August, I'm going to share what I have been loving the past month in July. So lets get started.
#1 NETFLIX
After months and months and months of my brother and I begging my parents for Netflix one evening my brother cracked them when I was actually outside celebrating one of my friends birthdays. I just love it, like pretty much everyone else in the world. I've probably watched too much of it anyway. I've started watching Prison Break, American Horror Story and will be starting Suits on the TV series front and many many movies. My favourite movies that I have watched on Netflix have been Peter Pan, White Chicks, The Switch and I found SuperSize Me was interesting as well.
#2 RIPPED SKINNY JEANS
I've been loving knee ripped skinny jeans, especially the black ones. Unfortunately I haven't got my hands on a pair yet but I used my normal skinny jeans and put knee rips in them. I might make a blog post to how I did this. But they are another of my favourite clothing item for a while and especially last month.
#3 TRAVELLING
Okay, for the past two weeks I have been travelling from the UK all the way to Venice, by our motorhome and ferry. Most people seem to hate travelling for long journeys but I love it. I love looking at the different sceneries we travel through, listening to music, and if I have had my travel pills (I get travel sickness-_-) I read my book. I took quite a few photos when I was travelling as well.

#4 MUSIC, DUH!
I always, always love music. But this last month I have been listening to Ed Sheeran's amazing new album X, 5 Seconds of Summer Album (finally!) and I have also been loving My Happy Little Pill by Troye Sivan from his EP called TRXYE.

#5 PLL - Pretty Little Liars
Who isn't addicted to Pretty Little Liars? I finally catch up to date with the seasons as I started to watch them a couple of months back. Everyone now knows about my obsession with it; my mum, dad, brother, friends, and I have got one of my friends addicted too...oops, but at least now I will have someone to talk to about it. Not many people at school watched it as it isn't shown on TV in the UK anymore so you have to search the internet. I found pollystreaming.com was good but now I am up to date they don't uploaded that quickly so I use Watch Series, click on the episode I am on and it comes up with a lot of places you can watch it,I usually use the second one.
#6 CHUNKY CUTOUT SANDALS
Okay, these maybe a shoe where you love it or hate it, for me I love them. I wear them barefooted with either leggings or shorts with a plaid shirt and a plain top. They are comfy and don't over heat your feet. Another good thing about them is the heel is so wide and not that high, it doesn't really affect me (and it makes me feel tall as I am quite short).
#7 PLAID/CHECKERED PATTERNS
I have absolutely loved the plaid and checkered patterns on clothing for a long time. In Autumn time 2013 I was always wearing a checkered skirt or a checkered scarf. Now, this summer, I am loving the checkered shirts, either to tie around my waist or to wear opened with a black vest/top if it's a bit on the chilly side (which it tends to be in the UK).
And this is how I would usually wear a checkered shirt in the summer:)
#8 FANGIRL BY RAINBOW ROWELL
Lately, I have been reading a lot & in July I was reading 'Fangirl' on my holidays. I love this book so much I read it in just under 2 weeks (460 pages) which is fast for me. It's about a fangirl named Cath going to University and being separated (sort of) from her twin sister, Wren. Cath is more of a 'stay-at-home-and-read-fanfiction' type of girl and she and Wren used to do everything together; so she finds it hard. I just can relate to it myself and see quite a bit of Cath in me. I don't want to give too much away because it is a very good book, and a easy read. I loved it so much I looked on WattPad for some fanfictions of the book to read to keep the characters alive and I am going to be buying 'Eleanor & Park' which is another book Rainbow Rowell has written.
#9 MOVIE - TFIOS
I have read The Fault In Our Stars by John Green way before the movie & I have been so excited for this movie to come out, it probably drove my family and friends crazy. I honestly think you should read the book before the movie but I went a couple of times with my friends who haven't actually read the book & one of my friends has decided to read the book and she is NOT a big reader so if you haven't read the book yet go read it now please:) But the movie was incredible, and I am glad they didn't change anything from the book. If you haven't watched it and you don't know what to expect please just take tissues because you will need them. But the story and characters are things that pulled me into loving the book and the film.
Hope you had a good July

Smoothies&Milkshakes
Hello:)
I decided to write a quick short post of what I got up to today.
In my village/town, recently a milkshake and smoothie cafe place opened up. And lets just say everyone got excited about it because you can have pretty much any flavour milkshake you want. It ranges from different chocolate bars like a "Double Decker Bus" and "Snickers" to different biscuits like "Custard Creams". Name a chocolate bar, biscuit, cake, sweet or some other random food and you can have it in a milkshake. You can even have more than one flavour in one milkshake!
Anyway on my first visit, a couple of months back, I already embarrassed myself before I even got inside by walking into the window of the cafe because it looked like the door. All I saw were people just staring at me and my friends laughing their heads off. Anyway we went back there again today (15th July 2014) and it went smoother.
There's even flavours like Cocoa Pops, Love Hearts, Carrot Cake and Bakewell Tart! But the milkshake I chose was delicious:)
Where I got my clothing:
Blue&White Floral Cami Top - Dorothy Perkins (in the sale at £7 from £12?)
Black Leggings - New Look (£6.99)
Mini Black Satchel - Primark (£6)
Nail Polish - Plum 337 Barry M Gelly (£3.99)
~I was also wearing my blue Vans (about £45)~
Hope you enjoyed the post, it's something different that I haven't done before but I haven't done many posts before either :)

I NEARLY SET FIRE TO MY HOUSE
Hello:)
On the 2nd July 2014, I decided to have a non-stop Harry Potter Movie Marathon, literally I started at 8:30am and watched all 8 movies until 4am the next morning because I have no social life at the moment. I even had the chocolate frog and Berty Bots Every Flavour Beans to eat from the Harry Potter Studios when I went earlier this year to eat whilst watching the movies.
Anyway I did actually have one of my friends over at 10am-5pm so when we wanted lunch we decided to quickly heat up some soup in the kitchen (obviously). I just turned the gas on, on the hob/cooker when my friend was just standing next to me staring at the kitchen roll that. Next thing I knew she said:

Anyway I did actually have one of my friends over at 10am-5pm so when we wanted lunch we decided to quickly heat up some soup in the kitchen (obviously). I just turned the gas on, on the hob/cooker when my friend was just standing next to me staring at the kitchen roll that. Next thing I knew she said:
"Georgie THERE'S A FIRE"
I seriously thought she was joking and I looked over at the pan of soup and the kitchen roll was right next to the pan that was over the hot gas, and bearing in mind kitchen roll is thin and paper, it caught on fire. Typically, this was the ONE DAY my parents were both at work and all I could see were flames behind the pan of soup. I had NO IDEA what the hell to do. My friend decided to try and pick up the flammable fragile kitchen roll that was on fire and put it in the sink which was luckily pretty much next to the cooker, however this DID NOT go according to plan because it just started to rip and fall, so she had to put it back down or she would have burnt herself.
So at this point in time I was shaking and in a lot of panic because the fire just started to get bigger and bigger so I went over to the sink and grab water in my hands and chuck it onto the flames, which didn't do much as the water didn't stay in my hands that much.
Luckily my Dad (and his love for coffee) had left his coffee mug out next to the sink from the morning, before he went to work, so my friend grabbed the mug, filled it with water and poured it on the flame which allowed it to go out.
Seriously, if we left it any longer the flames would have reached the cupboards above us and caught on fire and the whole house would probably be non existence right now. Once the fire was fully out I just stood there in complete and utter relief that the fire was out but in shock of what had just happened.
After cleaning the mess of the burnt paper, we even carried on cooking our soup and this time it went smoothly and we got through the process of warming the soup up for about 6 minutes without anything catching fire, spilling anything, it went fine.
I still haven't told my parents anything about it because the smell of fire was covered up by the smell of the soup we had for lunch, thank God, so when my Mum came back from work she didn't detect a thing, even though I was acting slightly like I was not telling her something but no one asked about it.
MORAL OF THE STORY
Don't cook next to kitchen roll and check for anything flammable around you before you start to cook, which is one of the most obvious things to do but people quite often forget.
SIDE NOTE:Nobody got hurt or injured from this and if anything like this happens to you make sure you stay calm and try and quickly put out the fire and if it starts to become too big call for the fire brigade straight away.

My Stressful GCSEs
Well hello, yes I haven't blogged since around January time and it is now the second of July so it has been just under 6 months since my last blog post but by the title I used I am gathering you understand why. I had my GCSEs.
If you are not from England/ the UK you may not know what GCSEs are, so let me explain. In the UK we have these important examinations in the last year of school to set us out for our next level of education whether that would be to go to Sixth Form or a Collage or an apprenticeship. And, no, it isn't just one examination for each subject you have taken for GCSE; a lot have two and sometimes even three exams. Over one month I had 16 exams to do, bearing in mind I had 3 last year and I took my English Language exam early in November 2013. It was a stressful time due to the amount of exams there are.
I am not just going to write about how dreadful and stressful the past 6 months have been for me because it is over now and I don't want to worry any year 10's that may be reading this for next year, but I am going to be honest.
So I started small amounts of revision in February, which seems quite early but it is worth starting around that time to make sure you go over everything. I started stepping up my revision a lot in the Easter holidays. Anyway, the revision just basically drained the last bit of my social life I was holding on to, so by the end of all the revision and exams I had no idea what to do. I am being serious, I came home from my last exam on Friday 13th June and was like "what the hell do I do?" so I went to Marks & Spencer's with my mum to get food....that is the first thing I did with my freedom....brilliant. After that I was so used at being stressed over something I started stressing over a Sixth Form Induction Day that was two weeks away because I didn't really know anyone who would be doing my classes. So to sum it up, the first things I did with my extended summer holiday was go to M&S and stress about my next hurdle in life...well done Georgie.
GCSEs are stressful because of the amount of work you are doing as you have about 10, 11, maybe even 12 subjects that you have to revise a 2 year course for. But it does feel good once they are all over and I have learned to not worried and think about them in much detail because what is done, is done and I can't change what I wrote, so I have to wait til results day in August.
Overall Year 11 flew by, in fact so did the past 5 years I spent at my Secondary School. I still remember being in year 7 and looking at the year 11s and thinking "it is going to be ages till I'm in year 11" but honestly, it has gone by so fast. Year 11 has also got it's positives; for example at my school we get to have a fancy dress day on our last day of school before study leave and the rest of the school are still in uniform and have classes so it's just a day for year 11 which is fun. We also got a prom at the end of all the exams, which I honestly didn't want to go to, but my friends dragged me and I am thankful, as I actually enjoyed it, but I think everybody's favourite thing about being in year 11 is the extended summer holiday you get when everyone else is in school.
I had my fair share of breakdowns and a lot of anxiety (I don't actually have an anxiety problem though) because I am a worrier, even from a young age I have had some problems about worrying about things I shouldn't really be worrying about. But I let myself listen to music when I started to slack with my revision as in my case it allowed me to be more chilled and carry on with my revision; I also listened to my music or watch some YouTubers when I needed some down time to myself, this, for me, was a very good way of trying to stay calm and not worry about my exams for a bit.
Now I am on my holidays, I will try my best to be posting more blogs, hopefully every week.

My New Years Resolutions
Hello,
Well since it is 2014 now and no longer 2013 I decided to create myself some goals of the year, so here they are;
Firstly, I decided one of the most important new years resolutions I have came up with for myself to do is to actually stick to my new years resolutions so therefore I can and will reach my goals.
Secondly, one of my main goals on 2014 is to take videos and pictures of moments, days, events or random things with my family and friends so I won't forget it.
In 2013 I went skiing for the first time EVER, I went with the school in February half term with some of my friends and I regret not taking many photos. Yes, I will have that memory but I would have like to make a college of them so in years to come I can look back on it.
I also travelled around Europe, in the Summer, with my Mum, Dad and younger brother but I didn't take any photos and if I did I deleted them from my camera roll because it was too full of photos of celebrities or funny edits! My Mum did take some but I would like to have my own set of photos because you are taking photos of your own point of view (if that makes any sense).
I also went to Iceland with the school (again) with a couple of my friends and I again I took some photos but they were absolutely rubbish! This was because I used disposable cameras because I didn't want to brake mine or my Mum's camera but I liked the fact I could get them developed and into a photo album and not just on my computer because, lets face it, I would not look at them on my computer; when I am on my computer I am on my computer to blog, go on twitter/facebook and the main reason to go on YouTube.
So that's just some reasons why I want to take more videos and photos of 2014. The photos as well could help me with this blog.
Thirdly, like most people around the world, I want to be healthy. At the moment it isn't looking great but that's because I have gone out for lunch with my friends (which we do monthly) and I have left over chocolate from Christmas. So my aim is to be healthy from tomorrow (Monday 6th January) because I will be back at school then and I will find it easier not to eat rubbish all day.
I also have a plan that will help me to be healthy. As I was searching for something the other day I saw a little advert on a website saying to keep healthy you should drink water every hour of the day so I will come to school with water and drink some every hour, at school and at home. Obviously I wont be setting my alarm clock at every hour during the night because that would be stupid and there is no need. So I will be doing that little tip I read.
IT WASN'T ME I SWEAR!
For my forth resolution, it is very similar to being healthy but to go to the gym at least once a week. I want to be more fit as at the moment the only sporty thing I do is my Ballet and if you class doing a paper round and walking (usually in the ran) for over an hour a week exercise (because I do!) than that's all I do and I want to become fitter.
At the gym I will go to classes, do work outs in the actual gym, maybe do a bit of swimming and also play either Tennis, Squash/Racket Ball or Badminton.
Another reason why I will be going once a week is because for about a year I was begging my parents for a gym membership at a nearby gym and at the end of September 2013 they gave in and got a family membership. Well I have gone....about 5 times possibly:) so I need to go more often to get the moneys worth out of it.
Lastly, I want to read more. I have never been much of a reader. When I was younger (about 5/6/7 years old) I really loved the Fairy books like "Georgia the Guinea Pig Fairy" and "Heather the Violet Fairy". I also liked the Sophie Book Series by Dick-King Smith such as "Sophie is Seven".
However when I was in year 5 of primary school (about 9 years old) my teacher picked up at the fact I could not read properly so at the start of every literacy lesson I had to go out for about 10 minutes and work through this book to help me with my reading skills, it was called "Toe-by-Toe" I don't know why it was called that, a bit random if you ask me.
So from then I didn't really think I could do English and to be honest I didn't like reading much. I didn't really read anything until I was in year 9 (13-14 years old) my English teacher was the one that made everyone bring in a book to read at the start of every 10 minutes of the lesson. I didn't do any reading at the start but after a while I did and I enjoyed it and from then I read a couple of books a year if and when I wanted to.
The book I really want to read in 2014 is "The Faults In Our Stars" by John Green. Everyone has been saying how good it is and I heard the movie is coming out in June so I thought it could be my first book I read before I watch the movie. I don't own it now but I will very soon.
A few books I am planning to read this year
Thank you so much for reading this post :)
If you liked it comment and if you want suggest new blog posts I could do, I have a few ideas but if you want to give me some suggestions I may do them.
